This privacy policy applies to the TestGenerator Chrome extension (“the extension”).
TestGenerator captures network requests (fetch and XMLHttpRequest) on the browser tab you choose and generates test code (Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or REST-assured) from those requests. It is intended for developers and QA engineers.
When you click “Start capture,” the extension may record, only for the tab you selected:
This is the data needed to generate the test files. The extension also stores locally whether capture is on or off and the list of captured requests until you clear it or close the browser.
All of the data above is stored only on your device using Chrome’s local storage (e.g. chrome.storage.local). Nothing is sent to our servers or any third party.
We do not:
You decide when to start and stop capture. You can clear the list of captured requests at any time using the “Clear” button in the extension. No data is collected in the background without your action.
The extension requests:
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
